Evaluation Rules

When registering products, you will be asked to agree with our evaluation rules. Nothing crazy, just a few simple rules to ensure we can test products in the best conditions and that we are aligned about the conditions to obtain and use the Superior Taste Award certification.

Sample Shipping Instructions

Depending on the type and origin of your products, we will inform you to which of our establishment your samples must be delivered. Your reference person at the Taste Institute will contact you shortly after the registration with the correct delivery address and shipping details. If needed, you can contact us via info@taste-institute.com. Correct and timely delivery of your samples to our establishment is your responsibility. The International Taste Institute cannot be held responsible for the sample shipment.

Deadlines

Please respect above mentioned deadlines, taking into account enough time for shipment & custom clearance (which can take up to 15 days). Every year, we unfortunately have to cancel evaluations due to late arrival of samples.

Quantity of samples to send

Please send enough products to prepare 24 helpings.

For drinks, please follow the following guidelines:

  • Waters, beers & soft-drinks: 12 small bottles (25-33cl) or 6 big bottles (0,5-1L)
  • Tea & coffee: for 24 servings
  • Spirits: 3 bottles (0,75-1L)
To indicate on each sample

Please indicate the corresponding product REFERENCE ID (ex:9022639) on each sample. Please avoid writing this REFERENCE ID on the front packaging, so we can take a nice picture of your product. You can find the REFERENCE ID on the invoice you have received by email following your registration or you can download this invoice in the “my invoices” section of your account.

Incoterms: DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)

Delivery costs, taxes, import and custom duties for shipment of samples are at your expense. Should any of those costs be invoiced to the Taste Institute, we will re-invoice you for this cost.

Delivery Address

Depending on the type and origin of your products, your reference person will contact you shortly after your registration to provide you with the delivery address of our corresponding establishment.
